Your Voice for Business in King

Business Forum for Trade and Construction related businesses,

We want to hear from you.

The aim at your local Chamber is to provide an effective service in terms of connecting people and speaking out on issues that impact our local business community.  As part of that service, we would like to hear from you on how we can be effective, and how the local business environment can be improved.  In particular, we would like input that will form our position for the Township’s Economic Development Strategy.

In June, we will schedule our second forum which will focus on all the trade and construction related businesses.  A third forum, focussed on service businesses, will follow in the fall.

Recycle Electronics Event

On Saturday, May 4th, the King Chamber of Commerce coordinated E-Waste collection in

each of the three villages of King City, Nobleton,

and Schomberg, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Board is very grateful for the collaboration

and assistance of VisionQuest and GEEP.

The Chamber would like to thank the high

school students who were most helpful at the

sites, and the residents of King Township for

being so diligent in disposing of e-waste, and

other recyclable items, so responsibly through

our E-Waste Disposal initiative. The safety vests

and work gloves donated by PDI-Priestly

Demolition were accepted with gratitude, and

were well-used throughout the duration of the

event at all three sites. Appreciation is also

extended to the King City and Nobleton Lions

Clubs for their part in providing water, soft drinks, snacks, and barbecued hotdogs at the King City

and Nobleton sites.

Congratulations to Jim Thacher, resident of Nobleton, for winning the $50 gift certificate, generously donated for the event by John’s

No Frills of Nobleton.
