UPCOMING EVENTS:  YSBEC Event Calendar

FREE SEMINAR SERIES: Reintroduced in 2014, YSBEC launched a new seminar and workshop series for smaller audiences. These seminars and workshops range from one-and-a-half to three hours in length, and are designed to cover a variety of topics and industry specific material such as business plan development, bookkeeping, marketing, social media, and financing to name a few.

The Free Seminar Series are open to new and existing business owners that are looking for new tools and ideas to implement in their businesses, while providing the opportunity for networking and questions to be answered in an intimate setting.

WEBINARS: YSBEC will be offering free Webinar Series again this winter so you can still learn and get new ideas for their businesses, without leaving their home or office!   A variety of topics and speakers have been hand-picked to ensure you’re getting relevant and useful information to grow your businesses in 2017.

CONFERENCESA series of five larger conferences are held on an annual basis organized by YSBEC in partnership with the local northern six municipal Economic Development offices and Chambers of Commerce. These conferences focus on entrepreneurship, small and medium business, and business development. YSBEC separates their annual series with three “E-Business”, one “Women in Business”, and one “Bridges for Better Business” events.

E-Business events are designed to support York Region’s small and midsized businesses to help improve operational efficiencies through the use of e-business solutions and to encourage expanded market reach through the use of internet technologies.

Women in Business events are in support of Ontario Women entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses to commemorate International Women’s Day which occurs on and or near March 8th.

Bridges for Better Business events support York Region’s established and new small businesses and entrepreneurs. Bridges typically include a keynote speaker, break out sessions, and a trade show component.
