Ryan Raymond
President
Ryan and his family have lived in King since 2010. He is the owner of SURGE Activewear, which produces custom running gear for all walks of life – from your local track club to nationally recognized marathons & internationally competitive teams. SURGE focuses on performance – with designed lightweight fabrics, engineered details, & custom digital sublimation prints resulting in unique looking team wear that will get you noticed on & off the track.
Ryan is excited to grow the King Chamber Membership as Chair of the Membership Committee and continue to support local business.

Mario Meyer
Vice President
Mario Meyer built a successful career in Technology before becoming an entrepreneur, combining hands-on experience with strategic insight. As a Fractional CTO and advisor, he supports startups and small businesses in navigating growth, innovation, software development and digital transformation. With a passion for empowering others through knowledge and mentorship, Mario is deeply committed to strengthening the local business community by fostering collaboration, resilience, and long-term success for all.

David Magahey
Treasurer
David Magahey, a seasoned financial executive with over 30 years of experience, is a valued member of the King Chamber of Commerce. As founder of FourCourt Advisors, he specializes in developing growth strategies for companies and leveraging government support programs. With expertise in financial management and market development, David is dedicated to empowering local businesses to thrive, aligning perfectly with the Chamber's mission.

Bryce Baker
Secretary
Bryce and his family have lived, worked and played in King for almost 25 years. In addition to helping start and run Grackle Coffee, a Schomberg landmark, he has degree in Urban Planning, a Masters in Project Management, and has owned and operated his own consulting company for 20+ years. Bryce will apply both his planning background and a practical, solution based methodology at both the detailed and overview levels to support and grow the businesses and the community in King Township.

Carmelinda Galota
Director | Chair, Advocacy Committee
President and CEO of Unlimited HRM Solutions Inc. is an experienced HR Executive leader with over 15 years of practice across various industries. She prioritizes team development and effective HR strategies, driving businesses towards success. Passionate about community building and supporting small and medium-sized businesses, she actively engages in philanthropic activities. Proudly residing in King City since 2013, she became a member of the King Chamber of Commerce in 2020.

Chloe Thurston
Director | Chair, Events Committee
A lifelong King City advocate, Chloe brings a vibrant blend of expertise to the Board as a Travel Professional and Manager at Pine Farms Orchard. Passionate about community growth and agricultural advocacy, she specializes in event coordination and social media strategy. Chloe is thrilled to support local businesses and help the King Chamber of Commerce thrive through connection and creativity.

Darryn Wilbur
Director | Chair, Membership Committee
Darryn and his family have lived in King since 2008. He opened Leading Edge Motor Cars 25 years ago and has been running it ever since. He acquired and merged Leading Edge with Total Mechanical Services in 2021, both businesses are currently located in Orangeville. Darryn is excited to be moving both businesses to King township in 2025/2026. His passion for the community and excitement to bring more businesses to King led him to join the board of directors in 2021.

Gorette Marques
Director | Co-Chair, Membership Committee
Gorette Marques is passionate about helping people, supporting local businesses, and building strong community connections. Raised in rural Ontario in a hardworking farming family, she developed a deep appreciation for dedication, resilience, and service. Her career has spanned customer service, healthcare, and real estate, including more than 30 years as a Registered Massage Therapist and licensed acupuncturist operating a clinic in Vaughan. Today, as a licensed Realtor serving the GTA and York Region, she helps clients navigate important life transitions. As a Director with the King Chamber of Commerce, Gorette is committed to fostering collaboration and supporting local business growth.

Jason Keown
Director | Chair, Communications Committee
Jason Keown is a marketing leader with over 20 years of experience across healthcare, retail, telecommunications, media, and data-driven organizations. He is part of the leadership team at King Animal Hospital, where he has helped support the growth of one of Canada's largest independent veterinary referral and emergency hospitals.
Jason brings a practical, collaborative approach to business, with a focus on strengthening partnerships, enhancing customer experience, and supporting sustainable growth. He is committed to contributing to the continued success of the King business community through his role on the Board of Directors.

Jay Willmot
Director | Chair, Governance Committee
Jay is the President of Kinghaven Farms, a family business renowned for its legacy in Ontario Horse Racing since 1974. Under his leadership, the farm has diversified into renewable energy, apiculture, egg farming, woodlot management, and more. Jay's passion for beekeeping, which began in 2012, has evolved into an integral part of the farm's vision for sustainable land stewardship.

Rashpal Uppal
Director | Co-Chair, Governance Commitee
Rashpal Uppal is a proud resident of King Township with a background spanning supply chain leadership, international business, higher education, and entrepreneurship. She brings strong governance experience as Co-Chair of the King Chamber's Governance Committee, alongside board roles with the National Institute of Supply Chain Leaders, Seneca Polytechnic, and the Canadian Public Procurement Council. A dedicated mentor through Futurpreneur Canada, ventureLAB, Seneca HELIX, and Techstars, Rashpal is passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses. She brings a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented approach, committed to strengthening King's local business community.

Talia Iafrate
Director | Chair, Youth Grant Committee
Talia Iafrate was born and raised in King Township and has developed a strong foundation through her involvement in both her family’s business and the local community. From the age of 13, she worked alongside her mother at Talii Towels, gaining hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, customer relations, and brand development.
After graduating from Seneca College, Talia officially joined the business in 2023, where she combines real-world experience with a fresh, modern perspective. Passionate about supporting small businesses and fostering community connections, she is committed to contributing to the continued growth and success of King Township.
