The King Chamber of Commerce is seeking a highly organized and community-minded Operations Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the Chamber and help strengthen connections within the King business community.
This is a dynamic role ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, organizing events, managing communications, and supporting local business growth. The Operations Manager works closely with the Chamber President, Board of Directors, and volunteer committees to ensure smooth operations and a high level of service to members.

Through events, advocacy, and networking opportunities, the Chamber helps businesses thrive and stay connected.

Key Responsibilities
Member & Community Engagement
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Chamber members, sponsors, and community partners
• Welcome and support new members and help maintain strong relationships within the business community
• Monitor local business and municipal updates relevant to members
Communications & Marketing
• Manage Chamber communications including the newsletter and social media channels
• Maintain the Chamber website and ensure member and sponsor information is current
• Create marketing materials for events and Chamber initiatives using tools such as Canva
Event Coordination
• Coordinate and support Chamber events, networking functions, and community initiatives
• Work with volunteer committees to plan, promote, and execute events
• Assist with logistics, vendor coordination, and event promotion
Membership & Sponsorship Support
• Maintain the Chamber membership database and assist with renewals
• Support sponsorship relationships and help identify new partnership opportunities
• Assist with sponsorship packages and member engagement initiatives
Administrative & Operational Support
• Support Board and committee activities with meeting coordination and follow-up
• Maintain organized digital files and documentation in Google Workspace
• Track key activities including membership trends, sponsorship pipeline, and event performance

Qualifications & Skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Experience with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar)
• Experience with Canva or similar design tools
• Experience updating websites or working with content management systems
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently
• Experience with event coordination, community engagement, or nonprofit organizations is an asset
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle

Work Model
This is a hybrid position. While much of the work can be performed remotely, the role requires regular in-person attendance at Chamber events, meetings, and community activities within King Township.
