Advocacy is one of the most important ways the King Chamber of Commerce supports our local business community. By bringing the experiences, ideas, and priorities of King Township businesses to municipal, regional, provincial, and federal decision-makers, we help ensure the business community has a meaningful voice in the conversations shaping our future.
The strongest advocacy starts with a clear understanding of what businesses are experiencing today and what they need to succeed tomorrow.
Across King Township, businesses are adapting, investing, creating jobs, serving customers, and contributing to the strength of our community. At the same time, there are opportunities to improve the conditions that support business growth and make King an even better place to start, operate, and grow a business.

What We’re Hearing
Through conversations with members, several priorities continue to emerge:
Supporting local businesses as they navigate rising operating costs.
Strengthening infrastructure, including roads, water, wastewater, electricity, and broadband, to support future growth.
Building a stronger local workforce through workforce development, housing, and transportation solutions.
Increasing access to commercial and employment lands to encourage investment and business expansion.
Creating simpler and more predictable municipal processes that support timely growth.
Recognizing agriculture and agri-business as important contributors to King Township’s economy.
Encouraging greater collaboration between businesses, government, and community organizations.
These priorities help guide the work of the Chamber’s Advocacy Committee and the conversations we have with government and community leaders.
Helping Shape What Comes Next
We also want to continue learning from businesses of every size and sector.
What would help your business grow? What opportunities should King Township pursue? Are there policies or processes that could work better? Are there resources, educational sessions, networking opportunities, or other supports that would provide value to your business?
These insights help shape both our advocacy efforts and the programs and services we offer throughout the year.
From government roundtables and educational events to workforce initiatives, funding information, networking opportunities, and policy advocacy, our goal is to focus our efforts where they can have the greatest positive impact.
Advocacy Is a Partnership
Every conversation with a member strengthens the Chamber’s ability to represent King Township’s business community with credibility and confidence.
To make sharing your ideas and experiences easy, the Chamber has established a dedicated advocacy email address. Whether you have identified an opportunity, are navigating a business challenge, or have an idea that could strengthen our local economy, we would be pleased to hear from you.
Email us at: Advocacy@KingChamber.ca
Every message is reviewed by the Advocacy Committee and helps inform our discussions with decision-makers.
Together, we can help create the conditions for a stronger local economy, new investment, and a community where businesses of all sizes can start, grow, and thrive.
Your voice helps shape what comes next.
